Project

Cell seeding is important in many biological applications.  Microstructures in the same size scale as cells can be used to interact, isolate, and pattern cells.  Some passive cell seeding techniques are currently available; however, these techniques rely on passive loading of cells.  Thus they generally require large cell seeding density and long cell seeding time.

My research project is to design and fabricate a cell seeding microdevice that uses vacuum to immobilize and position cells rapidly and effectively.
