Project

Bone resorption and formation is stimulated by external mechanical loading, particularly interstitial fluid pressure. My project is to determine the effects of cyclic hydrostatic pressure (CHP) on osteocytes. Specifically, it is to determine whether CHP induces (or reverses) apoptosis on serum supplemented and/or serum starved osteocytes.
